Fix It Mechanical is a mobile workshop based at Jabang, the first junction after the Mosque. One call and a mechanic arrives with the tools, the jack and the parts to get you moving again — at your compound, your office gate, or the side of the road.

Fix It Mechanical started the way most good workshops here start: one mechanic, one set of tools, and a phone number passed around by neighbours. What began as favours for people in Jabang turned into a proper mobile service covering Serekunda, Kanifing, Bakau, Sukuta, Latrikunda and the Kombo coastal road.
We work on what actually gets driven here — Toyota Corollas and Hiace vans, Nissan Sunnys, Mercedes 190s still going strong, Kia and Hyundai saloons, the occasional Peugeot pickup. Petrol, diesel, manual or automatic. If it has an engine and four wheels, we have probably had our hands in it.
No waiting room, no dropping the car off for three days and hoping. You tell us the symptom on the phone, we tell you honestly whether it is a roadside fix or a job that needs the workshop bench — and what it will cost before we start.
What we do
Services
Everything below is done on site unless it genuinely needs the bench. Prices are quoted on the phone once we know the vehicle and the fault — no surprise bills after the job.
Engine & diagnostics
Rough idle, misfire, overheating, oil leaks, timing belt and chain, head gasket, full engine rebuilds. We read fault codes first so we are fixing the actual problem rather than replacing parts until something works.
Brakes
Pads, discs, drums, calipers, brake lines, handbrake adjustment and bleeding. If the pedal feels soft or the car pulls when you brake, call before it becomes a bigger job.
Electrical & starting
Alternators, starter motors, wiring faults, lights, windows, central locking, sensors. Intermittent electrical faults are our speciality — the ones that never happen when you reach the garage.
Batteries & roadside rescue
Flat battery, jump start, replacement battery fitted on the spot, charging system check. We also handle no-start calls, keys locked in, and cars that will not turn over after sitting through the rains.
Tyres, suspension & steering
Puncture repair, tyre change, wheel balancing, shock absorbers, ball joints, track rod ends, wheel bearings. Knocking over bumps or a steering wheel that shakes at speed — that is usually us.
Clutch, gearbox & servicing
Clutch replacement, gearbox oil, driveshafts, CV joints, plus routine servicing — oil and filter, plugs, air filter, coolant flush, belts. A service at your gate is cheaper than a breakdown on the highway.

Call and describe it
Tell us the car, the year if you know it, and what it is doing. A noise, a light on the dash, a smell, a puddle underneath. That conversation usually tells us what to load into the van.

We come to you
Home compound, office car park, or the roadside where you are stuck. We cover Serekunda, Kanifing, Jabang, Bakau, Sukuta, Latrikunda and the coastal road. Tell us the nearest landmark and we will find you.

Fixed, tested, explained
We show you the old part, explain what failed and why, and tell you what to watch for next. You pay for the work done. If it needs a part we do not carry, we tell you straight away rather than guessing.
